FLAMEBAR FIRE-RATED HVAC SYSTEMS

SIMPLIFY FIRE RESISTIVE HVAC DESIGN AND INSTALLATION WITH FLAMEBAR

Flamebar is an engineered fire protection system that achieves the performance of multi-layered fire-resistive duct and enclosure assemblies into a single product. Flamebar can be used to create in-wall rated shaft enclosures for HVAC application and for ventilated protection of A2L refrigerant line sets. It can replace dampers and fire-resistive architectural assemblies for horizontal shaft offsets and vertical ductwork requiring separation in common utility shafts. It can be used either to relocate or avoid the use of dampers when ductwork penetrates fire barrier walls, and avoids welding for kitchen exhaust/grease duct applications.

Flamebar systems save materials and reduce waste by replacing conventional fire wrap and multi-layer of drywall solutions, which complicate and lengthen installation schedules. Flamebar benefits project schedules by reducing materials and waste, improves coordination among trades, reduces number of inspections, and offers just-in-time delivery to construction sites. After Conquest training, mechanical and sheet metal subcontractors can easily install Flamebar. Our staff offers support during design, preconstruction, coordination, and installation phases.

How is Flamebar fabricated?

Flamebar is fabricated with galvanized or stainless steel to project specifications in accordance with laboratory listings, and is coated with Flamebar BW11 endothermic coating to achieve fire resistance ratings up to 4 hours. The BW11 coating is a VOC-free, water-based compound that can withstand the stresses of climatic moisture, structural loading variations, and thermal shock due to fire.

Who can benefit from Flamebar solutions?

Engineered, prefabricated Flamebar components reduce labor costs, minimize number of inspections, and simplify coordination among mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) utilities. Flamebar improves safety for your employees, building occupants, and first responders. Low profile compact designs require less space than other solutions, resulting in streamlined layouts and improved gross leasable area (GLA).

Mechanical and sheet metal subcontractors work closely with our Project Management team, from approved coordinated shop drawings through fabrication. Deliveries to your project site or staging location are aligned with your project schedule.

FLAMEBAR IS MANUFACTURED IN-HOUSE AND DELIVERED JUST-IN-TIME

Flamebar is engineered, manufactured, and shipped from Conquest factory headquarters in Warren, Michigan, and is delivered for installation and integration into a complete system on your project site. Our team members will work with you at all points of your project to streamline your experience.

Our Process

Simply provide us with project drawings and we will review and identify opportunities for Flamebar. We work with established design and construction processes and will only start Flamebar production for your project once our project management team receives approved shop drawings.

After fabrication, duct sections are degreased and factory-coated with the BW11 endothermic coating by our trained operators to create the Flamebar product. Once duct fabrication, cleaning, coating, and curing is complete in our test laboratory-certified facility, Flamebar is then shipped just-in-time to your worksite. Create a parallel path and shorten your schedule by choosing Flamebar for the fire-rated duct or enclosure scope of your project!

We always strive to provide the best value and technical guidance for our customers, which is why our extended field support services go far beyond manufacturing. We offer relevant education to design and construction teams as well as Authorities Having Jurisdiction at all project stages, including budget guidance, value engineering, training, and much more.
